Bishop John has become even less visible than usual, and many of his forces have been sent elsewhere to whether the current conflict. Still, those who know of him wonder with each engagement whether he sees the opportunity he has been waiting for to crush them all. Even hardened Assamite warriors wonder when the hammer will fall. It is perhaps this threat that has caused the siege of Istanbul to grind on, as every camp holds back from each struggle, fearing that commitment will bring the Sabbat hordes rushing in.
