When Québec celebrated its 300th anniversary, the government of Québec gave the people Parc des Champs-de-Bataille. For the 400th anniversary (in 2008) they created La Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, a scenic path approximately 2.5 km long (1 1/2 miles) along the St-Laurent river between Quai des Cageux and Côte de Sillery. | |||
The space required shifted the road inland so that the public could bike, roller-blade, or walk along the water's edge all year long.
