Quote: "Mr. Beckett thought it best we enter the city aboard a coal train. How he emerged clean, he refuses to say." -- Lady Emma Blake, The Wounded King

Sobriquet: Lady or Emma

Appearance: A dark haired woman with pale skin. She is relatively tall at 5'7", with clear dark brown eyes. She has been raised to play a part, and usually dresses well.

Behavior: While Emma is a friendly, outgoing woman, her mind has been played with so long she sometimes has glitches in behavior. She will stop talking, or have momentary outbursts of anger or sadness.

History: A member of the Ducheski family of ghouls, and the mortal mother of Regina Blake, Emma was the culmination of generations of Tremere experimentation. From the shadows, the Followers of Set prepared the then mortal Emma as a sacrifice with which to lure their rogue Methuselah Kemintiri into a trap, but she was rescued by and became the lover of the Gangrel Noddist Beckett. Decades later, she was once again used to bait a trap for a Methuselah, but this time she was meant to serve as a supernaturally poisoned treat for the Prince Mithras of London. When the plan seemed to fail, the conspirators: the former Ventrue seneschal of London Valerius and the then Tremere Regent Anton Wellig were exposed and fled London before they could face Mithras' justice. Unfortunately, the mystical curse carried in her blood did eventually drive Mithras into torpor, but only after driving him mad. From torpor, Mithras' insanity influenced a mortal physician to commit attrocities that would be remembered down through history as the works of the world's first recorded serial killer, Jack the Ripper. {See: Dr. Alastair Barneby}

Rest in Peace: Sometime in the early twentieth century, Emma decided she did not want to continue living as one of the Kindred, and committed suicide in Beckett's arms.
