Lasombra -x- The Lair of Nystor -x- Verona -- medieval

Lasombra Nystor.jpg

Sobriquet: Master, Sombrei (title of respect for Abyss Mystics)

Appearance: Usually, the most a recent acquaintance can say is "he is short, and he was wearing a robe. He had black eyes!"
Indeed, shadows cling to Nystor so much that most have trouble making out his features, even in direct light (a rare occurrence indeed!) He customarily wears dark robes (not quite black, not quite grey: They may be made of the finest silk, or maybe something... less wholesome), and keeps his cowl pulled up around his black hair. The flesh of his face and broad hands is pale, even for a Vampire, with a fine tracery of black veins beneath the flesh. Fine black slippers inlaid with matte jet stones occasionally poke from beneath the folds of his robes. Those with auspex can detect the subtle interplay of darkness in the unrelieved shadow of his garb.

Behavior: Nystor never lets anyone forget that he is the true master of abyssal shadow. He is subtle, but the implications are clear. Most never get near enough to know him even that well.

History: Nystor's history is swathed in shadow. It is known that he once resided in the Castel d'Ombro itself, with the elders and founder of his clan. He now resides in a ruined fortress on Sicily, not far, he says, from the site of that fabled fortress. He is apparently antitribu, though he does not seem to take much of a role in the struggles of his clanmates, or even pay much attention to Les Amis Noir.

Recent Events: For unknown reasons, Nystor has agreed to mentor the neonate Blake, despite (or perhaps because) of Tiberius' ties to some of the most fanatically Catholic members of the Antitribu.

Associations: Nystor maintains distant but regular relations with other Abyss Mystics, any elder Lasombra must certainly have contacts everywhere. His only regular visitor is a paragon of the other side of the Lasombra coin: An as-yet unnamed elder warrior and adventurer.
