Main Page -x- Level One Rituals -x- Level Two Rituals

Description: According to popular legend, one of the first tricks a novice sorcerer learns is the creation of magical light to aid him in his tasks when the light fails. For the neophyte necromancer this is equally true and so a method was devised by which apprentices of the dark art might have light to acquire their grisly components, work upon cadavers and study the black texts of their masters. When this ritual is successfully cast, a person, place or thing so enchanted begins to glow with an eerie flickering emerald luminescence from beyond the shroud. The cold fire isn't dangerous; but it can still cause fear in mortals.
Origin: Benesj the Black
Ingredients: This is a simple ritual and requires only the most rudimentary of components and a modicum of knowledge, historical and occult: a bit of soil from a murder victim's grave, a battle site or from the scene of a catastrophic disaster.
Casting: The soil must be sprinkled upon a person, place or thing while recounting aloud the dark deeds or events associated with the soil in the name of a chosen death god.
System: The caster rolls Intelligence + Rituals = difficulty four (4). This ritual takes five minutes to cast and will last as long as the caster concentrates upon it. The cold flames of this ritual provide the equivalent of torchlight and give off no heat. Successes equate to the number of items that can be mystically illuminated with cold flame.
