The urban myth that is the Society of Paraxenos first conclusively emerged during the reign of Louis XIV at the advent of the Affair of the Poisons.
The year was 1675 and reference came from the private letters of the Marquise de Brinvilliers to her lover Captain Godin de Sainte-Croix
