Chattel are the people who have been bitten by the Gallû. The virulence of most Gallû won't kill a person bitten, but will infect them with a terrible disease that without a gifted ''Gobbet'' will slowly kill the chattel. The sickness brings on sweats, fever, and terrible body aches. A ''Gobbet'' from the Gallû produces a numbing sensation, and even a giddy high. Chattel will quickly be willing to do anything asked of them to get another Gobbet. | |||
