Introduction
Spell Casting
Spell-casting requires a dice roll by the casting
character’s player. The character must also pay a cost,
listed in the spell’s description. If he cannot pay the cost,
or does not desire to, he can perform a sacrifice instead
(see the “Sacrifices” sidebar). Otherwise, he cannot cast
the spell. The cost must be paid for Reality to bend.
Unless otherwise noted in a spell’s description, the
effects of a successfully cast spell last for one scene
(or one hour).
