Recent Events: In April of 1096, Tristan's longtime lover and sire Lorraine de Amour was murdered and his centuries old blood oath to her shattered. He is man newly awakened, although his heart is broken over Lorraine's death, another part of him hates her for the centuries that she kept him as a pet. Tristan now realizes that most of his decisions and the entire course of his immortality was defined by Lorraine's needs and desires. After several nights of drunken abandon while trying to come to terms with the state of his immortality, Tristan woke up angry, at everyone and everything including himself. His newfound rage at the ennui of his existence drove him to seek out and ally himself with Beatrix. The Géniale Rose of Paris took Tristan in and gave him a place in her new court, even including him in her plans to punish the young upstart Mercuzio Tiberus.

Despite Beatrix detailed plans and careful plots, the Thief of Golgotha had allies of his own and in one night the power that was the Toreador Court of Love in Paris went up in flames. Tristan was soundlessly defeated in combat and submitted himself to his captor, a vampire that he only knows for a few hours at a time before those memories are submerged beneath another layer of dominate. To compensate, Tristan has been keeping a diary of what he does remember and is slowly piecing it together a little bit at a time. Most of the time, he exists in a state of unresolved grief for Lorraine and rage at the way the world has treated him. He seeks for any outlet for his suffering and has taken to sparring with his current host Bolverk, a man he is slowly coming to admire even as he begins to suspect that the noble Ventrue is the one who has destroyed his memory.

Each night he awakens with blood tears for his sire's destruction, rage at how far he has fallen and a brand new emptiness that he tries to fill with whatever distraction is at hand. Over the course of the night's hours he progresses towards the truth and with the approach of dawn a mysterious stranger comes to him and erases the entire night.
