The influence of the Toreador was important, always, in France. But the control of Paris and the rest of the country was always divided between the Clans of the Ventrue and the Toreador. While the Ventrue have their Grand Court, the Toreador rule from the Courts of Love.
The settlement of Lutetia was first haunted by the Toreador Elder Cyril Cloutier, Childe of Salianne, eventually seeing it become Paris. He lived and ruled the surrounding area, working with the the Romans to bring culture and civilization to the Celtic Parisii.
