Marcus Musa came to Constantinople sometime before the end of the Dream. As princes have come and gone, Marcus has remained esconsed in his stronghold, directing Giovanni activities in Turkey and around the Black Sea. In the current crisis, he sees either the need for allies against the Assamites or an opportunity to turn Istanbul into a Giovanni stronghold. Otherwise, he would be doing what he has always done: Observe and stay out of it.
