History
The Order of the Ebon Stone comes from a group of heretical sorcerers who claim to have roots in the Knights Templar. The Order works on the supposition that using alchemy they can create a copy of the Lapsit Exellis, or "Philosophers Stone."
Organization
The Order de la Pierre Ebon has a strong hierarchical organization, with a High Master, House Lord, House Chamberlain, and House Guardian as the top major positions. The roughly forty members that are not officers come for learning and revelations. The officers teach "magic" to the common Acolytes.
Officers are all of higher social strata.
