Characters may gain dots in Secrets, just like any other Knowledge Ability. However, characters cannot spend experience points to raise their score in Secrets; instead, the characters must actually acquire the information represented by the level of knowledge they seek. As storyteller, you can assign points at the end of a Story that are to be applied to Secrets only.
