Main Page -x- Level One Rituals -x- Level Two Rituals

Description: The necromancer lights a specially prepared taper of incense made from his own vitae, Frankincense and Myrrh, in the presence of a person, place or thing suspected of being affected by sorcery. The smoke drifts outwards from the taper to wreath the person, place or thing bearing sorcerous residue.
Origin: Benesj the Black
Ingredients: Frankincense / Myrrh / Vitae
Casting: The necromancer lights the taper while calling upon the dark goddess of magic Hekate (Hek-a-te), to reveal any sorcerous residue or spells in the area or around a subject.
System: The initial radius of the ritual is ten feet. Each additional success adds another ten feet.
Reference: The thaumaturgic ritual “Sense the Mystical” is a good parallel and can be found on pg.91 of Blood Magic – Secrets of Thaumaturgy. Both rituals are level one and despite their differing fields, do exactly the same thing in slightly different ways.
