Early on she became a nun, later when her education and interpretation of scripture led her into conflict with the Church she walked away to become a professor of religious history at Chicago’s most prestigious university. She married and had two children of her own: Peter and Paul. Her ex-husband Philip Kane committed suicide; so she changed back to her maiden name.

Recent Events: She is still in a coma.
