Sobriquet: Baron Dalibor Biskup.

Appearance: Dalibor is the epitome of the Slavic aristocrat. Embraced in the peak of his physical condition and the prime of manhood, he is attractive and athletic. His black eyes, with dark arching eyebrows, angular face with a Mephistophelean goatee and long dark ponytail make him hard to miss. He usually dresses in the most modern clothing and favors the current look published by exclusive European men's magazines. He wears sedate, but attractive jewelry to accentuate his look and is known for wearing the most popular and expensive colognes. He is always surrounded by unobtrusive bodyguards and has a regular retinue of sycophants and wanton women to satisfy his need for blood or intelligence.

Background: Baron Biskup came to the "Jewel Box" for the same reasons as most men his age, to escape his shrew of a wife and her vile, uneducated family and to debauch himself with Dresden's bevy of beautiful, intelligent women. At least, that is what he told himself and those he traveled with, but it wasn't to be the women of Dresden that seduced him, it was all the libraries. In Dalibor's native land, education was rudimentary and often brief, but in Dresden one couldn't even socialize without intelligent conversation and that required tutelage. Dalibor quickly found himself a tutor in the form of a middle aged priest who often haunted the libraries of Dresden's wealthiest families during the long evenings of the social season.

Dalibor and the priest formed a strong but brief friendship before the outbreak of the War of the Austrian Succession in 1740. Dalibor was forced by his family's alliance with his wife's family to take part in the war on the side of Empress Maria Theresa and her Catholic allies. What got Dalibor through the mindless brutality of war and several near death experiences was his memories of Dresden, his friend Father Oliver and his love of books. When he returned victorious from the war, he sought out his old tutor who rewarded him with immortality. Like the rest of Oliver Zelenka's brood, over the course of decades and then centuries, Dalibor recognized the onset of his sire's growing senility. Initially he sought to reverse the process, but when it became apparent that Oliver wouldn't seek treatment and refused to believe anything was wrong, Dalibor grieved.

Thereafter, Dalibor sought to ensure his place in Dresden, the only real home he had ever known and loved. But, it quickly became apparent that his elder siblings were at odds and their mutual dislike would eventually come to outright violence. Therefore, Dalibor made it his place in Dresden to mediate the struggles of his elder siblings and thereby ensure that he would never be displaced from his home. While this tactic worked for the better part of a century, eventually Oliver Zelenka chose to embrace once more. Oliver's final childe was a beautiful, but vain polish princess who had caught the mad elder's attention and affection.

Since that time, Dalibor has fought a slowly losing political battle to keep Dresden from descending into the blood chaos of war. Unfortunately, Dalibor's struggle was complicated by the intentional strife unleashed by his younger sister Sara Zuraw in her quest to capture the princedom of Dresden.

Personality: Dalibor seems like the quintessential political savant, but he has spent two centuries keeping the peace in Dresden. It would appear to those who don't bother to look too closely that Dalibor is just covering his ass with an eye towards complete control of the city. But, if one were to look more deeply, it would become obvious that Dalibor has a deep love of books and only seeks to protect his primary interest - his library of treasure bound books and folios.

Current Events: With the arrival of the newcomers to Dresden, Dalibor is considering which would be worse, an outsider taking the control or having to ascend the throne himself. Regardless, the one thing that he can agree upon with Vladan is that, if Clara is responsible - the final death is her due. Equally, he would like to see Sara driven from the city or better yet, extinguished in the process.
