Appearance: Arsène is a attractive young man in his middle twenties with dark wavy hair and a days worth of stubble to give him grit. He has large dark eyes that both men and women find vaguely hypnotic. Arsène's mode of dress is typical of most Parisian clerks and he is pale from hours spent indoors with ink stained hands. Despite these surface characteriatics the young man looks like a farm boy in a solicitors coat.

Behavior: Arsène is reserved in polite society, but gregarious and playful with friends and acquaintances. He is very intelligent and is always engaging others in coveraatuon with a need to understand everyone he meets. History: Arsène was born in Bar-sur-Seine of the Grand Est region 170km (100 miles) east of Paris. The town was a noble possession before the Revolution with many medieval buildings and was a center of agriculture that primarily fed the hungry of Paris. The Bélanger family have done quite well for yeoman farmers and provided a good education for the bright young Arsène. It was assumed that the boy would take over the family business and run the farm until he stated his intention to take up the profession of law. While his parents were supportive Arsène found Paris both expensive and distracting. For the last four years the young man has become disciplined in his study and frugality, that is until recently when he met Axelle Renard, a young and beautiful shop girl with ambition and expensive tastes.

Recent Events: A few days before the Christmas season Arsène received free tickets to a new waxwork not far from the Sorbonne University. Naturally he invited his beloved Axelle. But the waxwork was something more than Arsène expected and while he remembers the waxwork he does so only to a very limited degree as if his conscious mind were rebelling at some horrible experience. When he sleeps it is a different matter and he has recently begun to avoid sleeping for he has horrible nightmares, but his enforced insomnia has led him to imagine that he is being followed by shadowy faceless entities who hunt him. Others have started to notice his growing paranoia.
