			Born the son of Chinese immigrants Chu Wen Hong was raised in San Francisco. Hong graduated from high school after taking everything on computers he could take. He went to community college and eventually earned a masters degree in computer science. His street time gave him knowledge of the underbelly of San Francisco, and Hong earned extra cash doing hacking and illegal activity for the local Tongs.

			One night Hong was out partying with his friends and was winning handsomely at cards. Several guys in the room felt like he was cheating, and shook him down finding stashed aces.
			They took him out in the alley and beat him mercilessly. Leaving him nearly dead, at some point a shadowy figure grabbed him and drank him dry, and then gave him blood to drink. Hong rose in a fury and killed the Tongs left in the gambling den. Now a Nosferatu, Hong changed his name to Wen Doc, being visited seldom by his shadowy sire. After five years the visits stopped. Wen Doc never learned who his sire was.
