			So...bear with me on this, there's a lot of temporal what the hell. So Morgan and I have been celebrqating our newfound ability to get a tan by staying up all night playing cards. I'm not sure what that says about me, but it's kind of amusing. Our gasthaus isn't bad, but at the same time it's not a palace. It'll do, and for bonus points I don't have to worry about lightproofing the room. I do however have to worry about jackasses who get mad at me for being better at poker than they are. Seriously, who draws to an inside straight with their life savings on the table. Alas, someone did, and thought they could get it back via knife and truncheon. They did not, but Morgan and I were worse for the wear.

			At least for a bit. I mean, Brenda and crew went out for some medical supplies, taking our very hard earned medical supplies and a bit extra. They came back with the time-trunk, and then the next day they got a car, because Cass is having some weird dreams about someone coming out of a bell and bad things happening. Apparently we're going to Dresden because the wingnut nazi Vogel who built the time machine has come back in time to be embraced before he's supposed to be embraced, which gives him a headstart on unlife annnnd generally being more of a dick. And probably helping the nazis more, since from what we remember, he was trying to help the Nazis figure out time travel - probably so they could win World War 1.

			That's not good, by the way.

			So to fix that...I had to kill to right the timeline. It's awkward as hell, but it's like, we have to alter time in order to correct it, and he wants to bend it further out of shape. So with that in mind, we hauled ass to Dresden, and then Morgan got contacted. By Jamie. (Side note; whatever we did to be so blessed/cursed as a group, I'm alternating between doing it again or going back to never ever do it again.) Apparently they were in hot pursuit of Vogel, so it was time to produce some asskicking. Fortunately, we packed a nice 1899 Mauser with a good scope. And 5 rounds.

			And then it was pretty much a matter of finding a nice 300-yard stretch of road to make things happen. Which I did. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was a pain in the butt shot. Couple hundred yards, but it's night, but it's windy, cold, and there's a lot of environmental conditions to consider. There's a reason snipers work in pairs, and have a nice computer backing them up. That said, when you've done it long enough, you make the calculations pretty quick.

			Funny story - I didn't have celerity, but time slowed. I saw the bullet leave, travel, and go through the windshield and impact and go through the driver. I didn't hit him square in the chest, but it was close enough that I could be satisfied. Especially when the car went off the road and hit the ditch. But Vogel bailed out...unhurt. Which really shouldn't have happened, so I started looking around. Saw him, and fired yet again. I shoulda kjilled him, but the bullet went right through him.

			The prick had some thaumaturgy going. They finally did run him down, and we were able to get him into place. And back to Berlin, for more relaxation and consideration. Brian and Morgan drilled the unconscious Vogel for info, and things proceeded. However, there was a great consternation as the next day Jamie and his timetraveleer went to the Lusitania. They're working a second plan, whereby they can keep the mess in 2043 from happening by waking Diet Caine before Nefertiti can. Which puts a cramp in some style, because there are a lot of plans that interlock and depend on some grim choices.

			However, choices were forced upon us in the form of several Brujah. Vlad looked a helluva lot better then he did the last time I saw him, but I didn't think it would be a good idea to mention that I killed him 90 years from now. Well, not just me, but still. It got rapid, and while I'm still a good shot Vlad caught the bullet in his throat and spit it out. After that, it was hard to remember why I shot him. Or killed him in the future. But at the same time, we had to be valuable, and so Old Vogel got a free bullet in the right temple. I'm pretty sure there's an ironic reason for that, but at the moment, it was just a damn fine shot. Then there was fire and Vlad hauled me out and the horses left. I think Brenda did something creepy. Okay, I'm sure she did, but I dunno what.

			We took the car and were halfway to Dresden when shit went from bad to worse. Vlad got dragged down in the river, and all I could do was watch and be in pain. Seat belts. Remind me to invent those. And then I was able to be dragged to safety, relatively. So now I'm in the hospital, of a sort. No idea where I am, where my companions are, and what's worse, I'm getting younger and my injuries heal way more rapidly. The down side of that is that eventually I will be too young to affect change. And eventually cease to be. This is something to consider.

			So - with a couple rounds out, I notice there was a gang of about 5 cannon fodder trying to sneak toward. They were not good at all. So I took a moment, fired a few rounds into heads of this that were actually dangerous, and then proceeded to take note of them. Frankly, they annoyed the shit out out me, so I burned a clip through them. Admittedly very bad form for me but really, they were rather rude. So with the odds cut down to favor me even more, I did a little offhand sword work, found their odor to be quite offensive and bought myself some room by dropping a flashbang at my feet. Not as bad as it could have been, but it bought me some breathing room where I could show my disdain for kneecaps. I'm a professional like that.

			So with that done and dusted, I needed a moment. Unfortunately I wasn't going to get a moment, because Cass had some weird shit that I needed to know about like, right now. She gave me a weird picture. The Skyline of Berlin was rearranging itself, somehow. Like it was a pressure wave and behind was some shit I'd only seen in pictures - the monolithic dome of Germania, along with the Triumphal Arch dominating everything.

			Fortunately, I had time to say "Fuck."

			So The Prince really does have nice digs. And he wasn't shy about showing them off, really. I mean it's been a century since Germanys' triumph in the Great Liberation, so...might as well, really. I mean I'm a Toreador, Germany's the center of art, finance, technology, everything really. So, it's a thing. Dancing, music, and the hospitality of the Prince as we were settling in to prepare for this whole neo-Caine foolishness. I suppose at some point we'll settle it all out, and then I can get back to the real task of sorting out the Italians' foolishness. Then my newest compatriot, a delightful thing named Cass, mentions that she sensed a disturbance of some kind. While I'm still getting used to her, I'm learning to trust her instincts - essentially, she said the timeline we were in was "wrong", somehow. While philosophically intriguing, it really doesn't make sense in the face of science and fact. I mean, Germany won. Technologically superior, strategically brilliant, and quite frankly who was going to argue with a group that turned Moscow into a glowing crater?

			That said, we gathered a few people and went where she led us when things started becoming strange. Brian and Morgan, old friends from the breathing days who have become...tenative allies, but not truly the sort we share everything with, indicated that Cass was right. And then Brian said he remembered the other timestream, and that he was a member of the Hand. Ridiculous yet again. Never has there been a Giovanni in the black hand. Their acts against Cappadocius stain all their souls.

			So there was some rapid negotiation before I crashed. Inhauten's body is going to be classified as a diplomatic pouch for shipment purposes, so hopefully once we get to Cairo we're going to be safely snagging a body and getting our fave mummy back in town. But before that, there's a few decidedly unsafe things that need to be done first. First, Mac needs to get paid. He did the job, so sure. He needs a bank account with 7 0's in it. I can make that happen, but first, a recounting of the dream. Highly disconcerting and nuclear in nature. That's enough to give a fella pause and double check the everyone. And Then I get a morning wakeup call from Brian via Mac. That was...weird. Apparently shit has gotten real, and the Templehof gig-concert-vampiric get together is a way to get heavy hitters from vampiric society infected with a very nasty virus from a bloodline called the Lamia. I mean I know of them...but damn. Job one becomes being a buzzkill. Repurposing a few things I wrote to kill cars and taking over a few things while Brian gives the background dump. Side question being how the hell Brian got this info, but the smarter part of me says shut up, nod and smile, and accept the Necromancers' verbs as something useful. So everyone else gets a wakeup call, and it's never good news that arrives on the swift wings of an eagle.

			So an hour before dusk and I'm murmurschlepping my way through some cappucino and finding a patsy for what I'm about to do - number 7 on the EU's Bad Boy List, a nice cleancut fella from the Caliphate. On his behalf I sent a warning that there was a biohazard attack coming at Templehof. And as a proof of sincerity, the streetlights would all be switched off for 5 minutes. New problem, Cass' compatriots were sacked out. Like...out-out. Not good, they're en route. Meanwhile the sun actually set and I could finish taking over the Berlin power grid for a last-ditch quarantine.

			Side note; when "turn off the power in Berlin" becomes the ''better'' option, we are in fact in some deep kimchee.

			Fortunately, the cops bought the biohazard story and started shutting Templehof down. Which, well, statred a bit of a riot. Sad pandas will abound, but it's definitely better then what Nefertiti has planned; a massive plague and the utter decapitation of the major sects, leaving the way clear for Set to be reborn. Because that's just fun for the whole family. And really, right after the sun set shit got interesting rapidly; a quick look outside the window shows that even though 2 miles is a possibly makeable distance for me with a sniper rifle, between the weather, the wind, the Coriolis effect, and the other buildings in the way, popping up to the rooftop for fire support was not happening - which was depressing because Brian, Erin and Mac got guests. Rude and boisterous guests who are pretty much teleporting in. Good news with all that is Brenda's among them, so we got a very quick info update from her, and then she went off-grid again with the retreat - and she went offline again.

			I ''hate'' when she does that.

			Fortunately, with all the chaos I had time to ready myself for the war that's coming, and I'll be damned again if I'm not going into this wreck without a Cass at my back. Bespoke combat armor - if you have the means, I highly recommend it. Low profile, weapon slots aplenty, and I get myself together for all the things that are about to happen. Shooter glasses with integrated HUD, sniper rifle, spare ammo for that, boonie hat with spare rounds, .45's on the calves, my personal airguns on the low back, and a sword on the off chance I run out of ammo.

			Then Cass and I hit traffic. Oops. But we got there in time, and shit has gotten really real. Portal again, and I just managed to get into the Army-approved sniper position when Brenda popped onto the radar, let me know there was afrigginnuke at their HQ and that she was gonna sort it. And then she disappeared. Again.

			Dreams are getting annoying. The most recent one was really weird - banners and mosaics from Egypt weer everywhere Templehof airport was. From what I could gather, it looked like the arrival of "Caine" didn't go over with everyone, as there's mention of battle. Apparently I'm on the anti-caine side, if the depiction of me flipping the double-bird in the direction of their forces was any indication. Also, nothing else really stood out, so I couldn't figure out where the Antediluvians were in this, or if they've even noticed.

			So with Madalyn hale and hearty, she had questions. Odd questions. The part where I sleep very deeply during the day is a thing that worries her. So with a little bit of wine and whatnot, things were settled out there. And then my headspace got crowded. Apparently Cass has a bit of forward in time, as well as back. And it's not pretty, apparently there's a few True Brujah tricks I'm not aware of. Shocking, that. But apparently there's a slight glimpse into the future where there's a group seriously discussing whacking Fakir Caine. (Really need to designate Fake Caine. Caine Light? All the Caine with half the calories? Diet Caine. I think that works best.)

			That said, I started laying escape plans. Defiance of the dreams aside, I'd rather not face Diet Caine on the open field. That sorta shit is not my groove. Taking over the streetlight system of Berlin was not too terribly difficult. Making arrangements for river, road, and train is not too far out of reach. Just need to find the best exit. And I have to keep the whole damn crew safe and on top of that at some point Madalyns' going to figure out that I'm not entirely normal if she hangs out with me for a few more days. Dammit.

			So now with all that there's another thing - Mac and Brian and Erin (One of Brians' ancillaries I guess) took Hugo and asked if they could snatch a body. I was down for taking over the security system. Not too tough, but at the same time the security itself was tougher than the city stoplights. Go figure. But all was well until the power went out. That said, it was kinda like being Wash and not seeing anything but just getting the play by play oin the radio. It's...not fun. Apparently Brian went AWOL. He's not supposed to do that. Mac is in a mood. But we got the body, and transport to Cairo has been arranged.

	En route, a small problem occurred. To wit, the airport lost power. Completely. After a quick breather, I did some cellphone camera intercept and it was not pretty. Clowns, machine guns, and just nastiness all around. As if we didn't have enough trouble. Every rational part of my brain said this was nothing that we wanted to be a part of, particularly since Brenda was in my brainspace on account of she and her current crew were racing through the joint in SUV's and being very naughty. Seriously, what's wrong with kids these days - they can't even try to look at the big picture. So we took a side trip around to get to the ruckus proper to see what was up with the temporal anomaly. Brenda said there were faces she recognized, so a cautious approach was the thing.		En route, a small problem occurred. To wit, the airport lost power. Completely. In the snowstorm. In the midst of all this, Sascha Fucking Vykos rose and left, encouraged by Dieter firing some laser-guided rockets. Saschas' traveling companions were not so lucky, and were kinda-sorta exploded/immolated/thrown about by a fire-tornado in a snowstorm. Yeah, there'll be damage control required, and I got a lot of it on video - enough to make sure the Prince knows I ain't bullshitting. My inner child so wanted to take a selfie. That said, the immediate danger was over.
