'''Mistridge''' was a prominent ''covenant'' (chantry) of the Order of Hermes for the first several centuries of that group's existence. In the winter of 1210, the chantry was attacked by the newly formed [[Craftmasons]], whose cannons proved to be the deciding factor in the siege.

A character known as "Former Tremere" (who is believed to be [[Grimgroth]] of the House Tremere), caused the chantry's defenses to fall, although it is uncertain if this was a fatal miscalculation or a deliberate betrayal. The chantry's fall to the Craftmasons would eventually come to be seen as the opening shot in the '''Ascension War'''.
