			So now in my apartment, I find myself in a thinking mood. Bereft of guns and computers, I'm left with myself. I shouldn't feel like I'm going batshit crazy, but I think I might be. Looking through my memories - all of them. New Orleans, India, and the things in the future that I remember. It's strange that there was a regret in Old Me, but there was. It was odd that Numerius saw that in me, odder still that I admitted it. Still, a chance to go back and put the wrong things right is a chance you take. So now, It's odd that I'm going forward to what I remember, and trying to change it. So now, we have two targets - Boston and Mexico.

			Looking forward, and thinking about the why of what I'm doing. I remember what was, and it all comes down to a few simple things. It's the right thing to do, and I'm the one to do it. Some of my plans are going to have to be modified, but I have a century. I'll have to move fast again, because my job in the grand scheme is finance. Make it so we can afford to move and have the boltholes. That said, I may have to revisit the getting a hotelier under my sphere of influence. Additionally, looking to the downtrodden and the lower ends of society. This may be a place of information - I may have to teach Hugo some things about socializing and confidence while we have the time.

			Everyone has a job in this, and we don't have room for slack. Brenda's job, obvious. Everyone elses' job is to get her there. I need to get Tinas' Auspex higher - a second scout in the Astral plane isn't something to sneeze at. Also someone to watch each other; the scout run with Masood was interesting on levels. Hugo, information and additional funding support. Even Baldesar and Rosura have jobs. Rosura is going to be the martyr, Baldesar will become the leader of the revolution - such as it may be. Weakening the Giovanni from within is going to be his job. He knows that it's very much him or them, and if he doesn't he will get to go to school. time to start plugging away and making the Rosselini doubt the Grand Plan.

			Next job, decide where we're going to go, start a revolution among our enemies, and avoid Imperial entanglements. Wherever we go, we'll play nice, agree to play by their rules, and be good citizens. I need a good mask.

	Suffice to say this was something I'd never seen, dreamed of, thought of...nothing in 2 plus centuries came close to this. Caine was a hell of an architect. Even with the short run, it's still a lot of things to take in. I swear, I'm going to be a year getting my head wrapped around all the memories. And there's a lot of ground to cover and not much time for it.

	But we all came to a huge...huge room. Everyone took a knee, and I did too - but my body racked up to attention first as an ancient reflex popped up and said hi. You would think that centuries would be enough to develop something new in that regard, but noooooooooo. We were given the schpiel - we say yes, we join the Tal'ma'hera. We say no, and we choose how we wish to die. Given that I remember my purpose - all of it now...I'm not walking away from this now. I know what happens, I know why and how...all the questions that I had are answered; mostly. We were given a full 24 hours to think it over. As if I needed more than 30 seconds to frame the answer, but still one should be polite. Also, we get one gift. I suppose it's how anyone really goes at it - personally I would like that path from Masika, but there might be something else in the offing. Decisions decisions. I'd give a lot to get a hall pass to Alamuts' library, but I don't know that that's possible.		But we all came to a huge...huge room. And the mental soundtrack was suddenly playing music from Skyrim. Sovngarde, to be specific. I'm not sure why that came into play, but it did. Everyone took a knee, and I did too - but my body racked up to attention first as an ancient reflex popped up and said hi. You would think that centuries would be enough to develop something new in that regard, but noooooooooo. We were given the schpiel - we say yes, we join the Tal'ma'hera. 	Back to normal. It was an interesting thing. First rush back was From Tina. Apparently my childe was worried about my ass. Second one was Brendas' sire. Somewhat less of a thing I want to see before coffee. So now, time to wobble to my feet and take stock. I have not the foggiest idea who's alive and who's not, but it seems like we didn't get too jackhammered. That personally kind of went to the back burner as I realized just how hungry I was. Cold, nasty oatmeal blood bags with gag-o-riffic anticoagulant frosting. There was enough in front of me to take the edge off, and I finally was able to get myself together to find out that we were heading for a graveyard. Joy and thrill...not. And we're bringing the whole party. This is strange, but Masoods' presence was soothing on a couple levels. And we were buried. Again. 	Suddenly, I was...elsewhere. Along with everyone else - we were in water, and this was just a scary scary place. Everything about this place was just wrong to me. It was Disneyland as designed by Brenda. It was hard to describe really except to say it was simultaneously awe-inspiring, humbling, and peeing the pants scary. Obsidian walls, roads lined with skulls for cobblestones...and I'm not sure what they hell they were using for torches, but it was not wood.		Suddenly, I was...elsewhere. Along with everyone else - we were in water, and this was just a scary scary place. Everything about this place was just wrong to me. It was Disneyland as designed by Brenda. It was hard to describe really except to say it was simultaneously awe-inspiring, humbling, and peeing the pants scary. Obsidian walls, roads lined with skulls for cobblestones...and I'm not sure what they hell they were using for torches, but it was not wood. Before we walked in though, we picked a cloak and a mask. Digging through, I found a nice Guy Fawkes mask. Apparently it's my first, but another one would be more appropriate. But we'll have time for arts and crafts later, I presume.

			The ceremony itself was nothing to sneeze at either. Drinking from the cup of the Del'roh herself, and from the mingled blood of the other heavy hitters...it's a Vaulderie, but infinitely more refined. Life is good like that. Tina and I had to crawl on the floor first, but the ancient techniques of the high crawl have been passed down, and we didn't do too badly with it. A bit of a moment when I found myself a leeeetle snacktastic over the deep fried chocolate dipped twinkie that is ancient vitae, but Masood held my ass down. Thanks for small favors, I think. But at the end of it, we're...granted leave to have an apartment for Enoch. Despite the bad neighborhood it's in, I'm pretty sure I'd get a nice price for it if anyone knew I had it. Same for Tina and Cass. Though now, we're really going to have to get our shit together, because when we go back, we get real. My goals for the clan haven't changed - we'll still need their strength when the time comes; but now I have a fallback position if plan A doesn't work right.

			So opening my eyes, it's night. Oh good. I'm on a boat. Not good. I'm naked. Bad. And it's raining. Also bad. I've been manacled to the mast. Also also bad. And I'm breathing. What the fuck. Double check, yes that's breathing I'm doing there. Heart, beating.

			For a vampire who's theoretically been dead for 250 years, I'm pretty lifelike. Time to shift mental gears, after a fashion and get a good look around. So it's kind of raining, which makes me nervous - there may be occasional lightning bolts from the heavens, and breathing or not I've never really been on the side of the angels. This would be the time whoevers' in charge upstairs decides a lightning bolt up my ass would be a thing to do in my position. Speaking of positions, I was liking my current one less and less, given that I was chained and manacled to the mast with my back to the mast. And I was not confident in the condition of the mast - splinters are a thing, and a splinter in the crack of my ass would in fact be the cherry on top of a very bad no good miserable day.

			There's some debate as to my actual position here - one guy called me a slave, and then a guy with a whip called me a passenger. Chains and manacles aren't normally a passenger accessory, but then the dude with the whip who was apparently in charge declared me to be a passenger. I don't know about y'all, but I think the message was mixed at best. At the end of the day, with nothing else to do, I did in fact try singing.

			I got down to 31 bottles of beer on the wall before I was unchained from the mast and told it was time to meet the captain. Still had the manacles on my feet, but still, I straightened my nonexistent tie because...well, habit. And suddenly, nonexistent tie was existent. Dafuq is this place and why do I suddenly have a Saville Row suit covering my ass. Well, I suppose it's not the worst thing in the world. The chains did nothing for my mood, but heading toward the captains' cabin I felt better - that would be the suit, I think. The captain proper greeted me properly though he was in fact toking from a hookah and had a scimitar at his feet. Could be worse, but after some conversation I was able to determine that I was in fact a passenger and honored guest. Though that may have some odd meaning in the "Are they going to eat us or feed us" category. Now that done, he offered Turkish Delight and wine. Turkish Delight, in a realm that seems like half real and half-fantasy. Uhm...hell no. I've read this book and it didn't work out so well for the kid who had that. Now that said, we discussed the manacles briefly, there was a rearrangement of the chair I was in...really when I put my mind to it, it seemed I could do quite a bit. But it seemed like the person who could get me out of these chains was at their destination. I rather wanted us to be there so I focused a little, and I heard "Land Ho". Damn right. Now for a real test, getting the manacles off. Unfortunately, when I focused on them, it rebounded and they doubled up. Well, shit. Apparently this dream realm is not totally mine to command. Nice to know there's limits to the infinite cosmic power. Still, I know my limits, and apparently there's someone out there who can get these off me. Arrival expected, and all in all...it just feels like this is something familiar. But not.

			One thing I did see was a glorious dawn. And it didn't fry me like charcoal. The sun rose, and I remembered - it's hard to describe, really. It was a flood of things and it felt good. Enough so that even in my manacled state I could shout "Good Morning Agrabah" - I got directions, and then I walked to a...tavern. Even without Auspex, the smells of the walk were overwhelming. Shisha, kebobs, so much cooking and I was ''hungry''. That was new and a strange sensation. Still, focus. Went to where I was advised and met with...Phineas. Who'm...I'm not sure I recognize him, but we apparently know each other. Okay. So I found out my ability with this realm is a side effect of taking a nice healthy chug of changeling blood. Damn but that was good, and also, lingering effects - If your weirdass psychotic episodes last for more than four hours, consult a physician.

			The conversation was quick, but meaningful in that I would be offered something, and that I should say yes. Also, No mentioning Phineas, as he's thought of as a traitor. Additionally to that, I'd be going to Enoch. As in...Enoch the first city founded by Caine after his exile. Channeling my inner Chris Pine Kirk - "Bullshit". Apparently not bullshit. Somehow, it exists. But that done, there's a lot more stuff, and we're about to step up to the big leagues. Like the last 3 decades has been the batting practice. Also, one other thing. He unlocked whatever temporal blocks that were keeping me from remembering everything. That was an unholy rush, and that deserves it's own thing. But the manacles fell off, and I blinked awake.

			So after some discussion, we came to a general consensus. Of sorts. Then shit got a little weird, like the gods were somehow offended at the thought of people working generally together. Because really, things were going so well.

			Brenda suddenly became not-Brenda. She became tall, supremely white, and to turn a phrase "somewhat less attractive now that she's all corpseified and gross". And it was fearfully annoying. She looked at us and said kneel. James was a little bit predisposed to not obey. He...disappeared. That's all I can really say, but he came back. Brenda was loopy, Brian did some fun shit, and apparently he had a dagger for just such an occasion. He stabbed it into the floor and it promptly frosted up around a foot or two. And then he carved it up and cut it out like a pizza square. Freakin' Lebanese Cedar. Not fun. My insurance people are going to shit bricks. Well, they're doing that anyway, but more on that later.

			Crisis rapidly averted, we're back and retracking. My concierge saw that shit. I racked out some hard dominate to rearrange what he saw as "Rich spoiled brats having a tantrum." Not awesome, but apologies and what not to be doled out later along with more dominate. Brian mentioned that he's not long for this world - that's depressing as shit. So the next thing was getting Brenda a meal, which Brian took care of. Once I realized he'd basically brought someone up to the kitchen to have Brenda snack on, I felt a little helpless - I mean really at some point you have to let others be themselves, but at the same time mortals aren't meaty-meat sammiches. I'll have time to feel guilty about that later. I hope.

			Next thing, time to yap at Baldesar - he was annoyed that I resorted to telepathy, but he didn't have a cellphone. So I go with what I know, and re-propose an alliance, and that he not haul ass to Cairo. Admittedly, it's a good place from his perspective - he thinks the world is his brothel, and Cairo has very reasonable rates. The down side is that he could be some much more. It's not a sin to want your tools to be well-crafted, is it? C'est la vie. He proposed we meet at a abandoned building later, and I'm good with that.

			Baldesar, as much as I want to keep him alive, has a nigh-miraculous talent for pissing people off. I warned him about potential trouble in Cairo, but his boundless arrogance seems to carry the day, at least in his world. I spent a good 10 minutes after breaking contact spitting about plans for his ass. Teabagging, bodily fluids, using his kneecaps as paperweights...admittedly it mighta been a bit much, but I was frustrated, okay?

			Our next move is to head downstairs to a bolthole, because we can't plan here with wraiths watching. Which they are, because the Giovanni have two notes they can play. Admittedly, they play them well, but once you know the tune, you can tapdance around it. The original bolthole was downstairs in my storage room. But that turned out to be not good because reasons, and we decided to hie it to somewhere else.

			Of additional import was that Masood was coming on the train; due in a few hours. Oh thank the stars he read my emails right. He was surprised I had developed telepathy and complimented me, saying not many of my erstwhile brothers and sisters went as far as I had with Auspex. This was...odd on a couple levels. First off, since I've been pretty much flying solo, I didn't really know I had a lot of siblings. Second, I think I detected some level of pride. That felt odd somehow, because while I do maintain contact with Masood, the idea of him being proud of me was a foreign concept. I found I liked it. It's in our nature to want the approval of others, I suppose. That said, he got a fast mental recap of the fun since Cagliari, and was duly thoughtful. After agreeing to meet later, we dropped off. Also of note, sometimes using telepathy can make other people unsettled. I'm pretty sure James was focused and ready for something not me, when I knocked on his brain, and Brian was like "eh?" Not like I'm showing off excessively, but secure channels are hard to come by. We went back up, told folks we were reconvening at another place, and started out after being scary cloaked up.

			The ground floor was utter fucking chaos. people were flat out beating the shit out of each other - a 9-year old shanked a bellhop with a fork from somewhere, old ladies were rolling around screaming unladylike things, and it was almost comical if it wasn't so damned serious. People like me are the reason insurance agents have ulcers. Per Brian, it was a lot of wraiths doing a lot of bad shit. Giovanni shock troops. Like I need ''another'' reason to hate those Italian cocknozzles. Out to the streets, and one boosted hummvee (The legit kind - only 30 years old, runs like a champ) later, we were en route. I poked my head up out of the turret mount, dudn't really see anything, and thus we were on relatively safe ground. Now, time to enact plans as if we didn't know we were being watched. That was cake, but in the midst of that, Brendas' sire showed up. Through the mirror in the office I had commandeered. One gun came up in my right hand, and I looked to make sure it wasn't something I needed to kill while finishing the code bits with my left hand. Make the joke. I'll wait.

			He ''still'' has that unsettling death-funk about him that makes me want to reach for the Axe Body Spray - but I contained that. He's charming in the way only a bastard child of the Baron Samedi and Mahatma Ghandi could be. Talking about death, spirits, chakras, and then politely asking if there's any tea. But Brian and James were both highly deferential, so I was polite enough to dampen the Auspex and not go "ewww!" when he did his teatime thing. Masood arriving was...psychologically stimulating. Seriously, there's something about the man that's refreshing. Maybe it's because he's one of the few people I know that I don't have to tilt my head back to say hey to. But we kissed each others' cheeks and said hey and then got down to business. As an aside I think I heard someone go eww. Seriously, we have necromancers who eat people, and kissing the cheek gets an eww from crowd? Dafuq. Still, I think Tina might have been smirking a bit, since since given our build and general appearance, we might be able to pass for relatives even among people we don't know. Of depressing note; while laying the groundwork to spread the bounty hunters thin was that someone commandeered my sub and torpedoed the Giovannis' sub, my hotel had burned to the ground, and an old villa had also torched. Someone was busy.

			After that we discussed things - the good news is we have an out. The bad news is that it's going to take a ton of time and I have to walk away from everything. Once again, the devil farts in my face. That is absolutely not fun, but fortunately my businesses will run themselves for at least a decade or two. Some shit though has got to stay in storage - my Mustang, my research...basically everything in my villa. Fuckery. I suppose eventually I'll be able to have it back, because some of that shit should not get released to the world. But that's a discussion for later, as Masood and I scouted the joint from the astral. Once again, my soul felt doubly unburdened, as I wasn't just astral, I was astral with my sire. I felt like I could take on the fires of hell with a shot of Cuervo on the rocks. Scouting was relatively easy, but Masood was concerned. Three, killing someone for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and having a certain body type is not even a little good. I need a new plan, and I need it fast. Talking to Baldesar is doable, as even in Cairo, he'll still be in range. We need to give the bounty hunters what they want. They want to know the whereabouts of Baldesar and Brenda. 	In the midst of all this, I appear to have skimped on some details. Rolling back to arrival night, life was still pretty good.
