			Although both of the Hall siblings seem to be affected by the supernatural fog that closed in around them, Tremen finds himself alone on a small island in the Detroit river that houses a small lighthouse, the [[Detroit River Light]]. Tremen enters through an outside door and explores the lighthouse drawn onward by a strange feeling, but before he can find it, he encounters a the lighthouse keeper Charles Northup, the very first keeper who thinks he is a thief. There is a scuffle and Tremen escapes to explore the lighthouse and find the dark stone fragment embedded in the wall of the lighthouse stairwell. Once pried free, he flees the lighthouse into the fog outside and is transported to 1954.

			The doctors, Tremen Hall and Loren Reese, find themselves standing in the middle of the [[Ambassador Bridge]] on a dark and misty night in 1929. Once again a strange feeling leads them to one side of the bridge where a dark stone has been set into the bridge and bears a brass dedication marker. Once the stone has been removed and compared to the first stone found, the two touch and fuse together reforming into a new whole with a distinctive outer curvature. A discussion and then disagreement take place and the two Sabbat vampires find themselves transported once again to a new time and place.

	After a botched reading from [[Strasbourg Codex]], Dr.Hall and his sister Dr.Loren Reese are transported to nineteenth century Detroit, and find themselves aboard a science vessel moored at the Erma Henderson marina in the Gold Coast district. A supernatural feeling leads them to the ship's bilge where Tremen finds their first fragment. Shortly thereafter, some unknown minutia triggers the fragment which transports the undead siblings to the Ambassador Bridge of 1929.
