Taking the Heart
Previous versions of Serpentis 5 allowed the Setite to remove the heart from anyone. However, DA2 expanded the power of Cheat the Scale of Anubis, but restricted its use to the Setite himself. This power allows the previously available ability to remove the heart of another vampire, and keep it in order to ensure the Setite's power over the victim.
System: The Setite and his acolytes must perform a ritual very similar to the one described in Cheat the Scale of Anubis, with the following exceptions:
- The Ritual must be performed on the single night of the full moon - the nights before and after are not useful for this purpose.
- The Setite rolls Dexterity + Medicine at a difficulty of 6, since he is operating on someone else, not himself.
- Only the heart may be removed, requiring a total of 5 successes.
- One roll still represents one hour of surgery.
