London

Appearance: Leigh is an extremely large and imposing man in his mid-20s, with a bristling mustache and long, wavy brown hair. He is swarthy in contrast to most of London's Kindred. He usually wears well-made, but weathered, outdoor apparel; he looks uncomfortable in the trendy fashions of the modern nights. Geoffrey has a hawkish expression and it shows the signs of his feral blood. Fine black hair sprouts from the tips of his pointed ears and his good-humored grin reveals lupine fangs. He goes shirtless in the wild; black wiry hair covers most of his muscular frame. He walks with an imperious stride. Despite Leigh's fearsome demeanor, he is a convivial, and even jovial, person. He has a booming laugh and appears to enjoy his unlife to the fullest.

Background: Born in the 11th century Byzantine Empire, Geoffrey Leigh (then named Justinian) was a frontier noble and warrior who fought the Seljuk Turks. In one nocturnal battle, Leigh's garrison was killed, save for himself. Resigned to his imminent death, he fought on viciously and killed a score of Turks. His prowess attracted the attention of the Turkish leader, a powerful vampiric warrior. The Cainite singled Justinian out and let the mortal lash out at him. When the Gangrel decided that Justinian was worthy, he Embraced the human and left him to fend for himself.

Justinian survived and changed his name when the Byzantine Empire fell. He wandered Europe and Asia, for 600 years before he met Violetta in renaissance Paris. Violetta was many things, a beautiful young woman, a former changeling, a medieval actress (forbidden by the church), the progeny of Francois Villon - Prince of Paris, a justicar and the love of Geoffrey's life. For two centuries, they made their way through midnight Europe, she to dispense the justice of the clan of roses and he as her eternally faithful archon. They witnessed the obscene birth of Clan Giovanni and the purge of the old clan of death. Both Geoffrey and Violetta were caught up in the affair from the beginning. Now only Geoffrey remains to see how the whole sordid affair will end.

Geoffrey first came to London when it was a sleepy medieval town, he hunted its night black alleys with the permission of its ancient prince, even sired a childe or two in those distant nights. He wouldn't return until after meeting and falling in love with Violetta. They came to London in the year of 1666, in search of Ambrogino Giovanni and the Sargon Fragment, that visit ended with the Great Fire of London. Two centuries later they would return again to search for Lord Camden's tomb and face the wrath of the Sabbat. After the debacle in Egypt, and Violetta's death, it was Prince Villon who told him of her murder by diablerie. For a few years he just wandered, eventually, he returned to the last city in which they had shared good times and offered his allegiance to Mithras in return for the right to remain. Over the last decades of the 19th century and throughout the twentieth, he remained in London with only occasional forays into the countryside to sooth his suffering. Only recently have the Gangrel of London acknowledged him their primogen, probably because for the first time in his unlife, he has remained stationary. This business of the Gangrel leaving the Camarilla is distressing to Geoffrey who was witness to the Treaty of Thorns all those centuries ago.

Personality: Geoffrey realizes that he does not possess the subtlety (or desire) necessary to play a major role in the Jyhad. However, he takes his responsibilities as primogen seriously. Soldiering was the noblest profession, and he still follows the code of chivalry stringently, though most Kindred consider the notion passe in the modern nights. Geoffrey once had two great joys in unlife, now only one is left. Violetta was taken from him by a villain that he has yet to identify, but he has sworn eternal vengeance against her murderer. When the burden of duty falls too heavy or the acid taste of unsatisfied revenge burns too hot, Geoffrey can and does turn to the wild places of the earth for solace.

Current Events: Geoffrey has been missing since the fall of London...
