Dr. Anton Phibes
Dr. Anton Phibes
Pet Name: Pet goo-goo names don’t count.
His Death: Phibes was executed before the Primogen Council by Viceroy Brian O'Reilly.
Domain: None, he resided in Krasna Polyana as a guest of Bohuslav.
Description: Dr. Phibes is extremely gaunt and emaciated; he has the eyes of a lunatic or drug addict and completely believes the fiction of his identity. He has brutal looking scars across his throat and chest that make it impossible for him to speak, but he psychically speaks through his ghoul Vulnavia. Dr. Phibes generally acts in a very over dramatic way and is quite camp in his eccentricities.
Personality: Though unknown originally, Dr. Phibes is a fictional character of a dubious origin and the truth of this has spread to most in Sofia. That fact that he honestly believes he is an undead sorcerer who is trying to resurrect his dead wife by feeding her the blood of a Dhampir is what makes him a scary and appropriate addition to Clan Malkavian.
Notes: Early on in his arrival in Sofia he and his ghoul Vulnavia took refuge in Bankya, the domain of the Tzimisce Primogen. The Baron wasn’t happy and there was a struggle that cause Dr. Phibes to flee for his life and resulted in an uncontrolled frenzy for the Baron; not to mention a sudden and new fear of crazy people. In short, there is no love lost between the Baron and the good doctor.
Current Events: Dr. Phibes was last seen in conversation with Drago Zlatan, on the near north side of the ballroom before the blast. His current health or whereabouts remain a mystery. Doctor Phibes possesses considerable Auspex and sensed the danger presented by the bomb and expended considerable blood to counter the possibility of injury. When the bomb exploded, he and Drago were both blown through the northern wall of the hotel and set upon by the ‘Sabbat’; the doctor cloaked the gathering and then vanished from mind’s eye, taking the unconscious Drago with him. He has escaped into the city and is in hiding. He will soon give in to the temptation to diablerize Drago for generation and the shock of diablerie will trigger another derangement that will cause him to buy his cover as Dr. Phibes; this is quite an irony as Dr. Phibes is really one of five Sabbat moles in the city. When he eventually recovers from his delusion, he will be very angry and curious over the ‘betrayal’ of his Sabbat cohorts.
Dr. Phibes was captured and executed by the Viceroy, Brian O'Riley, as a diablerist and Sabbat Spy. His Sabbat cohorts learned of his capture and fled the city before the City's officers could capture them.
