Bones of Chronos
Description: By invoking the powers of the Underworld and the element of earth, the caster can hasten the natural process of petrifaction in bones from millennia to nights, allowing the transformation of bone into stone.
Origin: Benesj the Black
Ingredients: Bones / Graveyard / Sand
Casting: Before the ritual can begin, the bones must be buried in the grave of an old man. Each night, the caster stands over the buried bones and makes an invocation to the powers of the Underworld (they may be his ancestors, the gods of his land or even the demons of the dead) to aid him in the act of petrifying the bones; then he must walk clockwise around the burial site chanting observances about the passage of millennia and throwing handfuls of river sand over the buried bones.
System: The ritual takes five minutes to cast and must be cast on three successive nights. Successes equal the number of bones that can be petrified.
