Description: Located in northwestern England close to the border with Wales, Chester is an extremely photogenic and interesting city. Chester was actually settled by the Romans int he year 79 AD, and evidence of this can be found in ruins that lie throughout the city. Chester is also one of the best-preserved walled cities in Britain, and so a walk along said walls is a must-do here. This particular photo, looking down on Chester’s Victorian-style main shopping street, was snapped from up on the walls.

Chester was once one of the great cities of England. From here, English knights held the frontier against the wilds of Wales, and forced civilization on the barbarians. However, it has faded over the centuries to the point that few mortals ever pay it any heed.

Vampiric History

Chester is the longest continually held Barony of Avalon (Glasgow is older, but did not submit to Mithras and become a barony until the end of the 17 century): Baron Marcus Veres, a childe of Mithras, once officially ruled Chester and southern Wales, holding the line against the ancient native Gangrel and Druid sorcerers. Over the centuries, he slowly prevailed, pacifying his corner of Avalon even as the world passed him by. As his court has dwindled, Baron Marcus withstood the passing of time, appearing in London just often enough to prove he has not succumbed to torpor or death.
